Case Number 1:20-cv-02489, in the U.S. District Court – Southern District of NY
On March 23, 2020, a former field organizer filed a lawsuit against Michael Bloomberg 2020, Inc.. The Complaint alleges that Mike Bloomberg 2020, Inc. breached its contract to provide employment thru the November election to its employees causing substantial damages, including lost wages, lost insurance benefits and failure to pay overtime, amongst other issues. On March 30, 2020, an Amended Complaint was subsequently filed.
The case is filed as a class action under federal and state law for all campaign workers who were abruptly terminated across the country. More and more terminated employees continue to join the case.
